MEET ABHILASH
Abhilash is among fewer than 20 individuals to have completed multiple solo, non-stop circumnavigations of the globe. A highly decorated maritime reconnaissance pilot, he has spent over 500 days alone at sea, which has provided him with unique insights into solitude and a distinct perspective on the world from afar.
His first circumnavigation culminated in a triumphant reception by the President of India in Mumbai. Not one to rest on his achievements, Abhilash set out for a second circumnavigation in 2018, which resulted in a serious accident and a broken spine. Following an international rescue and major surgery, he returned to compete in the same race four years later, securing a podium finish after 236 days at sea. Alone.
With over nine national awards, including three from the President of India, Abhilash has been featured in two documentaries and has authored four books. He is known as Titanium Tomy for the implants in his spine, the MacGyver of the Seas for his genius-level problem-solving, and recognised as one of the ten toughest Indians.
Abhilash shares powerful lessons on leadership, resilience, and courage drawn from his oceanic experiences.
